As requested by the models William and Carla, we decide to shoot a stylish, not so edgy, commercial look.

I am notoriously bad at taking a very specific style and duplicating it. Many times I’ve been shown a picture from a magazine or ad and asked, "Can we shoot one that looks like this?" For some strange reason the results come out not so great.

Recognizing certain elements, tones, angles and keeping them in mind while I shoot is fine and helps. Here’s a shot that started as one of those requests, but it wasn’t until after a few shots, when the models and I added our own touches to the general idea did it come out good.

This shot I like and it reminds me of how both William and Carla are talented models and a pleasure to work with.
